We are a family-owned small business (sole proprietorship) which had operated two shrimp docks in the City of Biloxi prior to Hurricane Katrina. The physical facilities have been totally obliterated by the combined effects of the hurricane, and the local Gulf shrimping industry is in severe jeopardy. We had little insurance and our benefits are in question due to the controversial wind/water issue currently in dispute. We have some savings, primarily in the form of equity in our home, which was also severely damaged.

Can you advise of any resources/programs/assistance which may be available to us as a business (which has been put out of business unless we can find some access to resources which will enable us to restore our business and industry) following the truly disastrous effects of Hurricane Katrina?
